Although Calle Ocho is Cuban, and Cuban-owned, not everyone here speaks Español. Some of us did not grow up speaking Spanish! It's true, there are actually hispanic/Cuban/Latina(o) people who DO NOT speak Spanish. Shocker... we know.
Please be kind to those of us who did not get the privilege to become multi-lingual.

The music at C8 does not stay within one genre. Throughout the day you may hear anything from Tupac to The Gap Band... Celia Cruz to Disney favorites (courtesy of a little Disney fan in the family).
Why not just Cuban-sung music? Glad you asked! The reason is simple: The owner is Cuban, but she grew up in Pico Rivera, CA. Need we explain any further? Expect to hear that 90's throwback with a little salsa right after.

Calle Ocho is the first eatery/coffee shop OUTSIDE of LA that LA residents voted to have ABC7 LA come to interview! We were very honored and blessed to be featured all weekend from March 5 - March 6, 2022.
