Our Story

Calle Ocho is a fresh eatery and Cuban coffee shop.

In 2016, with literally 3 pennies and her faith in the Lord, the owner of Calle Ocho decided to establish this ground floor coffee shop to bring diversity and great conversation behind delicious food and a phenomenal old-school brewed Cafecito. She built this to offer an opportunity to friends and family, and most of all-- create a life that allowed her to spend time with her own family.

Although the THE CCQUEEN is the face of C8 and her husband is heading the kitchen operations... her family is holding down the shop. Papi is frequently seen conversing with the customers, and her mom is over the big event, venue catering.

At Calle Ocho the recipes are generational. You can FEEL the authenticity the moment you walk in. The owner is passionate about Faith, Family, Business and her culture. The Cuban Coffee Queen aka CCQueen designed the shop around the life of her children. Therefore, hours will always vary (more about this below)!

This is not your ordinary eatery and coffee shop, but

it has the BEST customers any business could ask for.

WHAT IS WITH THE BUSINESS HOURS AT C8?

When you walk up to the shop, you will find a sign on the window stating our hours. The reality is we are a Latina-owned, family-first operated business, and we serve only fresh, authentic Cuban food... which explains our hours.

Allow us to introduce you to another way we disrupt the status quo in the entrepreneurial/small business/restaurant world.

If you made it this far, you have already learned that Calle Ocho had, and still has, a purpose far beyond cafecito and food. Calle Ocho is bigger than what the eye can see.

At Calle Ocho, we are striving to be proof that you can be a successful business without sacrificing your beliefs, family, mental stability, time and physical health. As with ALL aspects of life, there must be boundaries.

Our boundaries just so happen to dictate that we open when our children are at school, and allow us to be there when it is time for them to return home. We value the priceless things in life that God has entrusted to us, and we intend to continue living and conducting business this way.
